Napropamide
THE TITLE COMPOUND [SYSTEMATIC NAME: N,N-diethyl-2-(naphthalen-1-yl-oxy)propanamide], C17H21NO2, crystallizes with two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit in which the dihedral angles between the naphthalene ring systems and the amide groups are 88.1 (9) and 88.7 (3)°. Four C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds stabilize the crystal structure.
متن کاملO N reduces water use , nitrogen loss , and moss growth in a container nursery
verhead irrigation is the most common form of irrigation in forest and conservation nurseries (Landis and others 1989) and in greenhouse production overall (Leskovar 1998). Overhead irrigation systems are generally less expensive to install, and have the advantage of preventing the accumulation of fertilizer salts that can be detrimental to plant growth (Argo and Biernbaum 1995). A significant ...
متن کاملEarly acute otitis media and siblings' attendance at nursery.
To assess the relation between early acute otitis media and exposure to respiratory pathogens mediated by siblings and other children, a prospective cohort of 3754 Norwegian children born in 1992-3 was followed up from birth to 12 months. Of these, 25% had one or more episodes of acute otitis media during the first year. Results from multiple logistic regression analysis adjusted for confoundin...
متن کاملNutrient Leaching When Soil Is Part of Plant Growth Media
Soils can serve as sorbents for phosphorus (P), negating the need for artificial sorbents. The purpose of this study was to compare soils with different properties for their effect on nutrient levels in effluent. Four soils were mixed with sand and packed into columns 0.5 m long, with or without compost on the surface. Infiltration and effluent concentrations were measured before and after grow...
متن کاملKinetics of chalcopyrite galvanic leaching using sulfate media at the low temperature in the GalvanoxTM process
In this research work, the dissolution of chalcopyrite was investigated under atmospheric pressure, with sulfate media at low temperatures, in 30°C to 50°C. In the galvanic interaction between chalcopyrite and pyrite, pyrite is used as a leaching catalyst. Effects of different parameters such as temperature, stirring speed, pyrite to chalcopyrite ratio, particle size, and solution potential wer...
